The 2016 Zeros have arrived and more good news!

So I may be a couple of months late on announcing the 2016 Zeros on the site here. At this point you've probably read all about them, but to recap there are two new models, the DSR and FXS and all the larger battery ZF13.0 models and the FXS are receiving an upgraded more heat capable motor for better sustained performance. Although this is welcome news for all of you EV performance nuts, and especially our Hollywood Electrics Racing Team, however the big news that has coaxed me into writing this post affects all our Zero customers, not just race junkies, that is the return of the Federal Tax Credit for Electric Motorcycles!

This Federal Tax Credit for Electric Motorcycles is a 10% Tax Credit on the bike including any bolt on accessories as well as a 30% Tax Credit for Electric Motorcycle Chargers such as our Elcon Quick Chargers. It is also retroactive for 2015 which means it applies to all new Zeros purchased in 2015 so anyone that purchased a bike this year won't be left out of this incentive. I'm no tax expert but I'd be remiss if I didn't also point out that a Tax Credit is MUCH better than a Tax Deduction as a deduction only reduces the taxable income whereas a Tax Credit reduces the actual tax liability. For those of you who are on the fence or planning to purchase a bike in 2016, it's not too late to pull the trigger before the end of the year and claim this credit in 2015 for more instant gratification.
